Acutronic is looking for a Software Engineer Co-Op to join our team in Pittsburgh, PA. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating and enhancing both front-end and back-end user developments. This is a temporary, full-time position consisting of three co-op rotations This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Software Engineer Co-Op

Your Roles/Responsibilities:

Evaluate and enhance both front-end and back-end user developments.
Develop tools to integrate with existing ERP systems.
Collaborate closely with the Electrical, Controls, and Software Engineering Team Leader.
Identify problems, assess needs, and propose effective solutions
Work with the team to develop internal tools using SQL/mySQL databases and MS Access.

Your Profile/Qualifications/Skills:

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Must have completed at least two years of academic studies at an accredited college or university
Excellent computer skills
Strong critical thinking skills
Understanding of SQL, mySQL, and C#/C++ programming languages
Ability to work on own initiative as well as participate as part of a team
Multi-tasking ability
Keen attention to detail

These products are used on next-generation aerospace programs and include a range of electric power systems, servo-actuators, micro-turbines, and Hybrid-Electric-Propulsion-Systems. We offer standard products and excel at designing highly customized solutions for demanding mission requirements.
